about

ゆみ子が１２歳の時、由美子のおばあちゃんが外出した、彼女は彼女を止めようとした。
「お父ちゃんに叱られるから行ったらあかん」
「四国に行って死ぬんや、死なしてくれ」
ユミコのおばあちゃんは、彼女の要求のために止まらなかった。以来、ゆみ子はなぜ自分が祖母を引き止められなかったことを深く悔やんでいた。
由美子は郁夫と結婚し、幸せそうに生きていて、息子がいました。ある日、郁夫は自転車の鍵だけを残して列車に飛び込み、命を絶った。ゆみ子は「何故、何故、なんで？」と自問の毎日を続け、
「なんで死んだんやろ、なんでほったらかして死んだんやろ...わかれへん」
「幻に誘われたんや。遠い先の方に綺麗な光が見えて自分を誘われたんや」
彼女が死のある場所にひかれそうになると、たくましい生がひっぱりあげてくれている。
